  • Additional resources for developing a new project idea:
    • Process Overview, Guidelines, and Screening Criteria – provides an overview of the New Project Development process and explains project guidelines and how CPRA will screen submitted project ideas.  
      • Please note, this document is now available in Spanish and Vietnamese as well.  
    • 2023 Coastal Master Plan Data Viewer – this tool provides a user-friendly way to visualize potential changes across coastal Louisiana with, and without, the 2023 Coastal Master Plan 50 years into the future. If you are using the Master Plan Data Viewer for the first time, we encourage you to select the “Guided Tour” for an overview of available data and how to use it.
    • MP29 Project Types Booklet – this booklet serves as a reference to better understand the suite of project types supported by the 2029 Coastal Master Plan. It outlines the functions and other considerations for various project types that may be proposed to address ongoing coastal challenges. 
    • MP29 Project Submission Booklet – walks submitters through the process of identifying a coastal challenge, and identifying appropriate project type(s) and project details in preparation for submitting a project idea online.
    • Frequently Asked Questions – provides answers to frequently asked or anticipated questions to assist the public during the New Project Development process. 
    • Deep Dive: Future Without Action Model Results for Advanced Users – this document highlights relevant MP23 Future Without Action model outputs and new metrics beyond those reported for MP23. This information should support development of new project ideas for MP29 that will effectively address overarching master plan goals and more specific regional priorities over the 50-year planning period.
