Student Worker

New Hire

The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) is currently seeking Student Workers to assist throughout our agency. 

General Student Worker 

Candidate must be a full-time college student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior) at an accredited educational institution.

Student workers are responsible for assisting with the maintenance and servicing of CPRA fleet vehicles, filing, copying, scanning, assisting employees with different tasks and errands, computer and phone set up/troubleshooting and delivering paperwork to various agencies.

Specialized Student Intern

Land Rights: This program is a paid internship for college students in the Professional Land & Resources Management Major. To qualify you must be a full-time college student of Junior or Senior Classification with the ability to work up to 20 hours per week in the CPRA Baton Rouge Office.

Engineering: This is a paid internship for students in the College of the Engineering. To qualify you must be a full-time college student of Junior or Senior Classification with the ability to work up to 20 hours per week.

 

Specifications for all Students 

Students must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per pay period (2 weeks). In addition, students can only work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the school year and may receive approval to work 27 hours per week during the summer and semester breaks.  A clean driving record will be required (no more than 3 moving violations/convictions and no DUI/DWI within the past 3 years).
