BATON ROUGE, La.  – The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) is accepting proposals for the FY 2024 Conservation and Restoration Partnership Fund until October 20th, 2023. This year the Conservation and Restoration Partnership Fund has up to $1,000,000 dedicated for matching funds for projects addressing coastal conservation and restoration needs. This funding will allow the State, through CPRA, to explore private/public partnership opportunities such as grants and donations to support the implementation of high priority projects and the advancement of coastal restoration goals.

Proposals should include a brief description of the project purpose and objectives, features, conceptual design, a map of the project location and area, a summary of how it meets the selection criteria listed below, and a budget including Partner’s contributions and requested match from CPRA. Proposals should be no more than three pages in length (i.e., one or two page description and one page map).

Project Selection Considerations

Projects will be evaluated and prioritized based on the following criteria:

  1. Consistency with the objectives of the 2023 State Master Plan
  2. Acreage conserved/restored
  3. Synergy with other conservation/restoration efforts
  4. Project constructability
  5. Matching funds

General Information

A selection committee made up of CPRA scientists and engineers will review and evaluate each proposed project based on the criteria listed above. CPRA intends to notify which project proposals are selected for funding by November 24th, 2023. Any questions can be directed to PartnershipFund@la.gov.
