The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority is greatly saddened by the sudden death of Plaquemines Parish President Amos Cormier, Jr.
Amos Cormier was vigorously committed to his parish and its people, and was working with us to make Plaquemines Parish a safer, more-resilient and sustainable place for everyone. We shared his passion. We will miss him as a leader and as a partner in the fight for the future of coastal Louisiana. Our hearts go out to President Cormier’s family, friends and constituents.
